KHURSHID SHEIKH- NATIONAL TEACHER AWARD AWARDEE FROM MAHARASHTRA

Khurshid Sheikh, a teacher from Maharashtra, has been awarded the National Teachers Award 2021. He is a teacher at the Asaralli ZP Upper Primary School, Sironcha who has been awarded for his unmatched contributions towards teaching and taking education to the remotest areas of the state, Gadchiroli.
ART THE REFLECTION OF SOCIETY
Art is a word with no perfect definition. It evolves as society progresses and develops in various different ways. Even in the early age of primitive man of the stone age, men would draw simple paintings on the walls of their caves, expressing their daily lives in motifs such as hunting.
HATHKARGHA- STORIES WOVEN BEYOND THE THREADS
Around 17th Century C.E. when the Mughal empire was rooting itself firmly, this small, unnoticed town was slowly establishing its fame for the fabric. Soon a ‘karkhana’ (workshop) was set up under royal patronage. Battling with the tide of time for survival for over centuries, at present Chanderi, has successfully managed to sustain the craft with almost 3500 looms of different types

Art has always been a means of communication from the very ancient time since humans learned how to express themselves. The first signs of communication, after gestures, started with symbols and drawings on the cave walls and other places. But as the language and art evolved, art has not only been a mode of communication but something much more meaningful than that.
